Keep your own face-down cards low โ forget what lies where, and you'll swap yourself into trouble.
Everyone has four face-down cards and initially knows only two of them. Players draw and swap in turn: keep low cards, get rid of high ones โ but only those who remember what lies where swap wisely. Action cards allow peeking and nasty switches. Lowest total wins.
Beaver Gang is working-memory training in disguise: the positions of your own (and ideally your neighbors') cards must be kept updated in your head all game long โ every swap changes what needs remembering. On top comes continuous estimating of your own running total.
