Panic Lab

โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜…โ˜†4.0 / 5 โ€“ editorial rating

Amoebas on the run: dice show which one is wanted โ€“ the path to it follows devious rules.

How it plays

Cards showing amoebas, labs and air vents lie in a circle. Four dice determine which amoeba is wanted (starting lab, direction, pattern, color). Your gaze travels card by card โ€“ but vents make amoebas mutate, and some have escaped entirely. First to tap the right card scores.

What it trains

Panic Lab trains rule-guided visual tracking: attention must follow a precise trail while applying transformation rules along the way ("after the vent, it has stripes instead of dots"). That calls for concentration, working memory and constant updating โ€“ packed into a circle of cards.

Community voices: An insider tip from Gigamic; reviews praise the clever mechanism and the small price. A point made repeatedly: "anything but trivial" even for adults โ€“ while practiced kids turn out astonishingly strong.
Our tip for parents: Small, inexpensive and demanding โ€“ anything but trivial, even for adults.

Especially good for

  • Kids and adults who enjoy Ghost Blitz
  • Big groups โ€“ playable up to 10
  • Small travel format

Less suitable for

  • Beginners under 8 โ€“ the mutation rules are demanding
  • Anyone who gives up quickly after mistakes
