How it plays
Nine dice, each with six symbols, are rolled. From the nine visible images, the storyteller invents a tale – starting with "Once upon a time...". There is no right or wrong and no scoring; play solo, take turns, or build one shared chain story together.
What it trains
Story Cubes builds narrative skills: activating vocabulary, linking sentences, holding a thread, shaping a beginning and an end. With no judging pressure, even linguistically shy children dare to speak up – and the dice supply the ideas an empty head can't find on demand.
